Hello! My name is Susan Boerman and I live in Massachusetts. I have been drawing and painting all of my life, but have made it my business for more than 20 years.

 

Since 2000 I have been teaching acrylic decorative painting for adults. My students help keep my mind working and my designs fresh and not only do they learn from me, I learn from them. I teach 2 classes a week at the Taunton Art Association in Taunton, MA. On Mondays I teach from 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm and on Fridays I teach from 10:30 am - 1:00 pm. My classes run all year round with a 2 week break at Christmas. Please contact me if you are interested.

 

In the early 2000's I had 2 instructional painting books published by Gretchen Cagle Publications, "It's Great to Create" & "It's Great to Create, Vol.2". I was also the president of the Taunton Art Association in Taunton, MA, from 2009-2013 and am back for 2016.

 

Over time my painting evolved into original designs like the work you see here. My inspiration comes from my surroundings and unexpected images that pop in my head. I also get a lot of inspiration and ideas from my customers at craft fairs. I thrive on feedback from others and try to keep up with popular trends.

 

Some of my work is available for purchase and are offered as prints, note cards, etc., and some of my work is produced as instructional pattern packets for other artists to paint.
